SENIORS

I see you.

Here you are at the end of your twelve-year scholastic span. Not only have you accomplished great feats academically, but socially as well. Your set of skills, family, friends, foes and ability to conquer have developed you into the person you are now. I celebrate this season of life with you. I celebrate you. It is my desire to capture your essence- your innermost being and bring out qualities and the limitlessness that is within you that you may not see in yourself. I see your strength. I feel your eagerness to give to the world your gifts that you've been given to make it a richer place. They are there. Waiting to be nurtured and pulled up from the depths of your being and brought to the surface at the right place at the right time.

"Say Cheese!" "Smile!"

These are two phrases that you will never hear me say. A smile doesn't constitute a "good portrait." Smiles are for snapshots and commercial photography, not fine-art portraiture. I strive for mood, emotion, and creative vision rather than forced smiles. The essence of Fine Art photography is to show what the artist sees rather than what the world wants to see. I want people to feel safe with me while being photographed. Just being is enough. If I am able within the moments of our session to capture a Duchenne smile, - a genuine expression that signals true enjoyment or happiness of my muse, I will.

My heart and innermost being is fine art portraiture. Creating space for genuine moments to unfold is my jam and entire being. I invite you to take a moment to explore my website, where you'll see a true reflection of what your portraits will feel like throughout past sessions with my muses and clients. If your vision leans toward traditional portraiture, I may not be the right artistic fit for you. But if you feel a connection to this work, I would be honored to create something beautiful and lasting for you.
